Sick kids purged
I am simply gobsmacked that Gov. Rick Scott personally presses the Florida Legislature for $1 billion for corporate tax subsidies while the state purges 9,000 sick and disabled youth from the rolls of Florida’s Children Medical Services as detailed in the Dec. 6 article State strips frail kids of coverage.
Clearly, these disabled, frail, and sick kids couldn’t make the expected campaign contributions and lacked the well-heeled lobbyists that corporate America has in getting the governor’s attention and concern. An utter disgrace.
