Assault rifles

In America we do incredible work solving crimes and pursuing criminals. We have expert police departments and amazingly brave SWAT team members. We also have the FBI at our disposal, along with army reserves and special forces. The media are detailed in their research and reporting of crime scenes.

Unfortunately, all of these resources and efforts are used after crimes and mass killings occur. When are we going to do something at the front end of these atrocities?

How are citizens able to legally purchase assault weapons and bomb-making materials? And somehow we’re not allowed to have any restrictions or databases for these dangerous materials and weapons?

I hope the NRA is happy with the results of its expensive lobbying.
