In the words of Albert Einstein, “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.”
There 10 simple words come to mind each and every time I’m asked about my involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and why I chose to take on the responsibility as this year’s 9th Annual Wild About Kids Gala chair.
These 10 simple words speak volumes and encompass so much truth that many people fail to hear.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade is a nonprofit organization established in 1946 that inspires and enables young people to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens through educational after-school and summer programs.

Volunteering your time, resources and passion to an organization serving a great cause, dedicated to the future of our youth, should not be an action of question, but rather one of certainty.
This very action of certainty has become an integral part of my life, and has helped reaffirm what matters most in my life — just as Albert Einstein suggested.
How can we expect that our community evolve, improve or change without taking responsibility into our own hands?
We, as Miami residents, are leading the way for a better tomorrow, which is why we owe it to ourselves and the future of our youth to give back to our community — no matter how big or small that contribution may be.
