Voyage of denial

As a Jew, I’m saddened by the refusal by many of my brethren to acknowledge the obvious parallel between the Syrian refugee crisis and the voyage of the St. Louis.

Fleeing unspeakable violence, both groups were confronted by America Firsters, past and present. But back then, it was at least plausible, given government policy, to ignore the truth. But with a modern news cycle, replete with video images, it’s the height of hypocrisy. Apparently those who cry “Never Again,” limit the implications of that phrase to themselves.
