Seat belts on buses
Finally, we have seat belts on school buses!
Not only is it a safety issue in case of accidents, but it also stymies bullying, keeping the kids in their seats and preventing fights. The bus driver can actually drive in peace, not having to look in the rear-view mirror to see who is hitting whom. Now all we need is a metal detector at the entrance of the school.
Government office buildings have metal detectors. Our children need protection as well, and this would prevent any weapons from entering the school building.
