Cost-of-Living

The Social Security Administration concluded that, because in the third quarter of this year compared to the same quarter last year, the cost of living had not increased. Therefore, the Cost-of-Living Adjustment for 2016 would be zero.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren is proposing a one-time, 3.9 percent increase which equals, in her estimation, what the increase that the highest paid CEOs will get this year.

I don’t necessarily believe in wealth redistribution, but by golly, have some pity for the ones at the bottom of the income ladder; at least 2 percent so that they can eat, dress and catch a movie once in a great while.

No one can guarantee that gas prices will remain low because the Middle East is on fire and it could go off at any time, fracking is slowing down and the Chinese economy is rebounding.
