One of the most important national championships in women’s sports, the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament, was held in our back yard and only received a cursory mention that it was taking place at Florida Atlantic University.
The fact that Florida State was in the Final Four should have been enough to garner the attention of the soccer sports writers. FSU wins a national championship in women’s soccer and it’s not newsworth.
Why? Because it’s women’s sports?
