Morin cartoon compelling

Jim Morin’s Dec. 5 political cartoon, I can’t breathe, is powerful and compelling.

While this country has come a long way in terms of race relations, the choking death of an unarmed black man whose crime might have been selling cigarettes illegally is an incident not too far removed from a lynching.

Yes, the police deserve our support and often have to make instantaneous decisions, but it is incredible that grand jury members could decide not to indict the officer who caused Eric Garner’s death.
