A parent’s caretaker
Allan Richards’ Nov. 2 story, A son becomes his mother’s caretaker, resonated with me. I am blessed to have my mom with me, and so far in wonderful mental capacity. She also is mobile.
It is just the two of us, so I relate to Mr. Richards’ concerns and the real day-to-day life of a sole caregiver. Perhaps it has given a glimpse of our lives to those who don’t share our situation. That would be a blessing. I, too, will do my best to keep us together for as long as we have.
Thank you, Mr. Richards, for reminding me that we have counterparts everywhere, and there are joyous moments to be shared.
