Rolling food court

The Nov. 8 article On Miami-Dade bus and not too happy begs the question of why county administration and commissioners have not addressed the issue of food with an ordinance.

Food should not be consumed on a public bus. It’s offensive to other riders, attracts insects and creates trash. A bus or train is a public facility and should have rules guiding riders’ behavior. A commissioner needs to draft and sponsor an ordinance.

If the buses were clean, well maintained and had an accurate schedule, maybe more people would leave their cars at home and use public transportation.
