Delayed calorie counts

Although I agree with letter writer Robert Pickard’s assertion that obesity is each person’s responsibility, I disagree that requiring the posting of calorie counts is governmental overreach (Government shouldn’t be counting calories, Nov. 28).

Without adequate information about the content of foods prepared by others, people are unable to make informed food choices.

I think posted calorie counts are long overdue.
