Miami space
Kudos and good luck to those from the David Lawrence Jr. K-8 Center, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High and FIU.
They are to be congratulated for designing and building a space micro-satellite believed to be the first ever put together completely by students. Its launch is planned for mid-2015.
As the young folks produced it for only $8,500, may it be more exemplary of our area than the credit-rating-busting defects-plagued PortMiami Tunnel and the proposed and reportedly tax-break-craving SkyRise tower at Bayside.
