Biased about Israel

Rarely have I read such a chauvinistic screed as Revital Malca’s Oct. 30 opinion piece, Culture of hate battles Israel’s sanctity of life.

Professing to hold a motherly concern for all the children of the world, she focuses on the horrific atrocity committed against a young Israeli boy while overlooking the killed, maimed, orphaned, and traumatized children of Gaza as well as the children of the West Bank who cannot walk to school without violent harassment by settlers, whose crimes are studiously ignored by the Israeli government. What about the Palestinian toddler burned to death in his crib by settlers this year?

Let’s not forget that Israeli officials have spewed incitement. For example, Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked promoted a description of Palestinian children as “little snakes,” and Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely proclaimed that her dream is to see the Star of David flying over the Temple Mount, currently the hotspot of religious passions.
