No Medicare savings

The Oct. 30 letter Save on Medicare implies that any senior citizen choosing an HMO will receive $100 monthly added to their Social Security check for Medicare’s Part B reimbursement.

However, the $100 reimbursement only applies to those people, such as low income seniors, who are on Medicare and also receive Medicaid or SSI.
