Unaffordable care
I was prepared for a 20 percent increase on my insurance policy. Imagine my shock and frustration when I recently received my renewal letter from Blue Cross with a 50 percent increase.
My rate went from $645 a month for a gold policy to $879. Same exact policy. I’m a 52-year-old single man living in Florida.
I have no children and I make $75K per year. That means my health coverage is 25 percent of my take home pay.
I obviously cannot afford this once you include my car payment and housing and living expense.
I’ve been a life long democrat and was a supporter of not only President Obama, but the Affordable Care Act. This is far from affordable.
I’m at a loss and don't know who to contact regarding this absurdity.
