Dismal record
Re Tim Padgett’s Oct. 22 opinion column, Church should divine the truths of parishioners’ beliefs: The choice is always clear: You can let God be God, or you can let God be us.
The oldest temptation in history was: “Ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” (Gen.3:5). Are you sure you want to let God be us? Our track record on this question is dismal.
