Gov. Rick Scott and the likes of him in the legislature will be immune from our grandchildren’s fury at the sea-level rise destruction of South Florida because the deniers will be dead.
The alarming future in the Oct. 28 article, King tide causes some South Florida flooding, should cause those of us who claim we care about the future generations to put our money where our mouths are by agreeing to fund via bonds and taxes the enormous expenditures it will take to preserve survival here.
Let us appreciate our good fortune in being able to foresee the coming cataclysm and the lead time we have to at least make an effort to do right by future generations.
