Mourning the bears
The Oct. 24 letter, Dear Florida Bears, written to the Florida bears was perfectly stated and brought tears to my eyes.
Those of us against the bear hunt are helpless.
The ever-growing human population will never stop teasing these beautiful creatures with their garbage and gourmet treats to non-humans.
What will it take to slow the continued population growth into the bears’ habitat? Where do we think the bears and other wildlife will go if we continue to take over the land?
Now that the slaughter is under way, I can only hope the 320 limit is not exceeded, and I mourn every one of the deaths.
Carol Knotts, Doral
