Crippling expressway tolls
To the pain of doubling the tolls paid from Kendall to the airport or downtown, one must also add the turnpike toll of $1.04, which suddenly doubled recently.
Adding insult to injury, the construction nightmare on State Road 836 is an ongoing and frightful mess to navigate and now costs twice as much, making a trip downtown more than $8. Shame on MDX’s greed, and shame on the Miami-Dade County Commission for allowing this assault on drivers.
