Public-school pride
I have great appreciation for the Miami-Dade Public Schools. My bride of 45 years was a public school teacher for more than 30 years until her retirement. Our three sons are products of the public school system and now have successful careers.
But when MDPS had its student hall of fame induction ceremony, I found new respect for the school system. Not because the seven inductees were well deserving of their award, but because of the way the whole ceremony was presented. My wife and I were proud of the video and entertainment portions of the program, all produced by the students and teachers of MDPS.
