Harassing the homeless

I am an American citizen, and I am outraged that Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jack Seiler is turning an act of compassion, people who are feeding the homeless, into a crime.

Homelessness is rarely a lifestyle choice; it is often the tragic result of unfortunate, uncontrollable circumstances.

Mayor Seiler is missing an important opportunity to teach our young men and women, in fact our entire country, to value each other, and he is missing a chance to be a true leader and take a courageous stand to help those who otherwise suffer from hunger.

I ask that Mayor Seiler open his heart to help those of his constituents who count on the compassion and generosity of others.
