Don’t blame the president
Re the Nov. 19 letter Synagogue murders: I would remind Sander Poritzky that it is the Arab leaders of the Palestinians who are responsible for the deaths and attacks that took place in that Jerusalem synagogue, not President Obama or any European Union leader.
Both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority call for the destruction of Israel in their charters, and the leaders of both groups refuse to take a vote to either keep or rescind those edicts.
It is Obama and his ambassador to the United Nations who have continued to veto any and all calls for the United Nations to recognize a Palestinian state. Poritzky’s accusations are surely pointed in the wrong direction.
