Preserve Troeger house
How should I feel when I read that the county is considering giving permission to tear down a haunted house?
Along with my family, I lived just a few houses down from Harry Troeger’s place in the 1950s and 1960s.
In my early years, I was sure the place was haunted.
There are a number of unique places in the Miami area. This is one.
And, for me it holds special memories.
I am saddened that is being considered as just one more expendable site. If history has any meaning in this town, then this is one place that should be preserved.
