Poll workers helpful

Now that all the votes are in and counted, I commend the Miami-Dade supervisor of elections and the professionals in that office.

I had the unique pleasure of working with anti-Amendment 2 forces, so I was busy during early voting covering both ends of the county and seeing firsthand the department’s day-to-day poll workings for this 14-day period.

Across the board, I found professional and courteous poll workers.

I think that is what made early voting a pleasure for those of us who took advantage of the opportunity.
