No new gun laws

Every time there a mass shooting, President Obama and the left immediately pivot to enacting gun-control legislation. If gun laws haven’t changed, but the number of mass shootings has increased, why are we focusing on new gun legislation? It is not as though the Second Amendment is new. Of course, we never heard a peep when Kate Steinle was gunned down by an illegal immigrant who stole the gun used from the vehicle of a Bureau of Land Management employee.

We should be looking at what has changed in our society to identify the causes. Stricter gun laws will not keep criminals and the mentally ill from obtaining guns any more than our drug laws prevent criminals from selling drugs or citizens from using them.
