Replacing knees

I read with interest Dr. Michael Reilly’s Sept. 29 opinion article, Broward Health should put patients before profits.

More than 20 years ago, he was the driving force that made knee-replacement surgery happen for my husband when the VA (his injury was service related) would not assist him and he was not eligible for Medicare or Medicaid. I can see that he is the same compassionate person I remember from so many years ago.

If other doctors considered their patients the way he does, there would be a much better healthcare system. Thank you, Dr. Reilly, Ben Stutts is still doing fine with the knee you replaced.

Dianne Stutts,

Pembroke Pines
