Money talks in D.C.

In response to Jeb Bush’s comment after the Oregon massacre that “stuff happens” and the fact that no member of Congress said a word about gun control after the slaughter, it is more than apparent that they are all under the control of the National Rifle Association.

The NRA controls Congress the same way that others do: with money. Lawmakers do what they are paid to do by special interests regardless of how their constituents feel or, indeed, how they feel themselves. So, the answer is in front of us? Pay them more.

Double or triple the cash that the NRA gives these “representatives of the people” to vote for laws that provide Americans some safety. Believe me, they vote the way the money tells them to.
