Protect Florida’s water
Whether spending weekends at beaches along the Gulf or visiting Florida’s majestic springs, water has always been central to my life.
I’m disheartened that the American Farm Bureau Federation and its allies in Congress don’t share the same appreciation for it.
Sen. Marco Rubio recently co-sponsored a resolution backed by corporate agribusiness to invalidate EPA’s new Clean Water Rule, which restores protections to drinking water sources for nearly 2 million Floridians. I urge Rubio to reconsider siding with polluters, and instead stand up for Florida’s most precious natural resource: our water.
