We want Uber

I certainly hope that Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez is correct when he says Uber and Lyft will be legal by the end of the year.

My daughter took Uber from South Miami to the Miami airport for less than $22.

Three days later when my husband and I arrived at the Miami airport we took a taxi to our home in Pinecrest. The cost was $47 without a tip, and the credit card machine was covered with a towel, requiring us to pay cash.

There is something seriously wrong when essentially the same mileage costs double in a taxi compared to Uber.

Uber and Lyft services should be made legal and be allowed to pick up at the airport so that consumers have a choice.
