Publix honors veterans

Publix Supermarkets should be commended for making a noble and valiant effort to show appreciation to veterans on Nov. 11. Vets and active military personnel will receive a 10-percent discount on groceries on Tuesday.

I hope other retail stores and restaurants will follow Publix’s example, and put a bit of a smile on all the soldiers, sailors and pilots who have served their country honorably and with sacrifice.
