Church’s doctrine

Our wonderful, progressive Pope Francis has accepted many new ideas. However, the church continues to reject the idea of birth control. How humane is it to create a child that will die of starvation or abuse if one is unable to feed or care for that child? If birth control were available to all, free at drug stores and supermarkets, children would be born into families ready and able to care for them.

It would be a good thing for children, parents and the world. The government can pay for birth control and save money on welfare and prisons. We are overpopulated as it is, and hopefully, the church with our new pope will consider this severely needed and beneficial plan.
