Sticker shock
The sticker on my license plate either fell off or was stolen, but I didn’t know that until Sunday morning.
When I went out to get the newspaper, my car was gone, towed, I soon discovered because the tag had expired. Not true, I said.
I have proof that the expiration date was May 2016. Nevertheless, more than $210 for retrieval fees and another sticker later, I now have my car back.
I’ve lost faith in the system, and I believe the police, security personnel, towers, and tag agencies need to come up with a better system for law abiding victims like me.
