I read with interest Brian Keeley’s Sept. 22 article, Helping patients be better healthcare consumers, and his glowing description of the wonderful healthcare programs that Baptist Health System offers the community.
He says the commitment is to treat everyone with dignity and respect, irrespective of their socio-economic status.
Why is it, then, that for patients with any of the Affordable Care Act policies, Baptist Health centers, medical groups or hospitals are not an option?
Many friends, co-workers and I have been told repeatedly over the past two years that for those with PPOs and HMOs that are through the Affordable Care Act, Baptist doesn’t accept Obamacare plans.
