Non-voters flout civic duty

The Florida Division of Elections said that only 40.67 percent of Miami-Dade voted on Election Day. In Broward, it was 43.51 percent and 49.11 percent in Palm Beach.

This is nothing to be proud of. For those who did not vote, I consider this a lack of your civic duty and a sin of omission. I remember a wise and holy woman once told me: “When we are on our death bed, it will not be so much what we did as what we did not do and should have done that will come back to haunt us.”
