Toll-cutting scheme
Re the Sept. 17 article Drivers get break on unpaid tolls: Whose brilliant idea is it to spend more money taking toll scofflaws to court in order to give them a break on what they owe?
Rather than giving them a break, let them arrange a repayment schedule that will allow for the restoration of their license or insurance.
My toll costs have tripled in the past year, and it never occurred to me that if I took my SunPass transponders out of my vehicles and decided not to pay the toll-by-plate bills sent by mail that I could cut my driving costs.
