Politicians talk about losing jobs if we do some things and creating jobs if we do other things.
The whale oil merchants weren’t too happy about the advent of petroleum oil for fuel. The buggy whip makers and wheelwrights were not too happy about the development of the automobile. If any of them had a lobbyist or the money to buy politicians, would we have progressed?
The truth is we adjust and new jobs take the place of the passé jobs. Now we just hope and pray the lobbyists don't win.
