Change in Guatemala
After reading the Sept. 4 editorial, Upheaval in Guatemala, I wish that social media would give the American people and the electors in Guatemala the opportunity to know more about the social and political history of that beautiful country.
Former President Otto Pérez Molina and Interim President Alejandro Maldonado are examples of what not to do when you are a political figure: One represents the interests of the political right and the other how to cover up for those responsible for what happened in Guatemala between 1960 and 1990.
This is why Guatemala’s electors should be informed about what could happen by electing the wrong people again.
