Legislative compromise

Politics, it is said, is the art of the possible. One would never know it through the words and actions of many of our lawmakers, both state and federal.

Compromise has become a dirty word for too many of the legislators whom we pay — and well — to pass the laws and policies that should benefit all Americans. Yet these legislators are there because we put them there. Shame on them, and shame on us.
