Smug cop killer

The photograph that accompanied the Oct. 28 article, Cop killer sentenced to life in prison, of a killer who was sentenced to life and the emotionally distributed mother turned my stomach.

I doubt he would have looked so smug if he were facing a gun to the forehead. Under Florida law, first-degree murder carries a mandatory life prison term. I’d like to know why my tax dollars should maintain the existence of a vile person who shows no remorse such as Andrew Rolle.
