Woodstock generation
I'd like to remind letter writer Clive Baldwin, who blames all of our woes on the progressive Woodstock generation, that progressives founded this nation. If the conservatives had their way, we would still be paying taxes to a British monarch.
Our country is in such bad shape because Ronald Reagan removed the wealthy from shouldering their fair share of the cost of operating our country’s defense, transportation and education.
Before him we managed to build world-class interstate highways, the infrastructure of our suburbs, and nuclear weapons. We were able to send a man to the moon. And the millionaires still got to live pretty darn well.
