Cinder or ice

Sen. John McCain’s suggestion that President Obama should be more concerned with Russia’s strategic eyes on the Arctic than with global warming makes me think of a family in a burning house fighting over the TV remote as flames consume them.

Who will control the Arctic when the planet is uninhabitable?

The way humans are behaving, we’ll either destroy our planet through neglect or blow it up through childish stupidity. Either event is likely to occur before the sun burns out — game over.

Or our orbital path will bend closer or farther from the sun, and we will become a cinder or a ball of ice — another game over.
