Marzi Kaplan a giant
South Florida is truly a book-loving community thanks to the giants on whose shoulders we stand today. This was not always the case. However, thanks to the late Marzi Kaplan, who served on the Miami Book Fair’s board of directors, Greater Miami is a community replete with literati.
A tremendous writer in her own right and champion of literary reading, Marzi, one of the giants, was one of a kind. She will be missed, but her legacy will endure for many years to come. She will be on all our minds when the Book Fair kicks off at Miami Dade College Nov. 15.
