Re the Aug. 8 article Scott agrees to pay $700,000: It is an outrage that our governor could get away with breaking the rules and then waste taxpayer money that we provided to protect the environment.
Scott has no regard for our natural environment and anything that takes away from the Department of Environmental Protection will make him happy. Can we bring an injunction against him to stop this?
The taxpayers and the environment are made to suffer for his misdeeds. A penalty should cause discomfort to the perpetrator, not reward him, and not punish innocent parties.
