Libertarian candidate Wyllie rebuffed

U.S. District Judge James Cohn decision to uphold the block on Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Adrian Wyllie being precluded from an Oct. 15 candidate debate has favored mere technicality over the coveted First Amendment. The judge found that Wyllie failed to prove a likelihood of success on his court-filed claims and thus refused a restraining order that would have allowed the minority hopeful to take part.

In essence, both the Amendment and all Florida voters have again been given a “second seat” to meaningless organizer-imposed debate quotas.
