Best possible Iran deal

As the U. S. Congress begins deliberations on the Iran nuclear accord, I hope our elected representatives weigh the merits of the deal without regard to party political considerations.

As a registered Republican, I’m disturbed by the rhetoric against the accord spewed by some of my Republican elected representatives the moment the deal was announced.

It seems to me that our negotiators lead by Secretary of State John Kerry, along with our allies, got the best deal possible.

If the deal is rejected Iran would continue producing the enriched materials and produce a nuclear bomb in short order.

The only alternative left in this case would be to go to war, which would be a disaster.

I believe that this nuclear deal will lead to better relations with Iran and ultimately moderate their anti-western and anti-Israel position and discourage them from supporting radicals in the region.
