Prison reform needed

My blood ran cold when I read the unimaginable July 19 story, See no evil. Taxpayer dollars shouldn’t be used to subsidize state-sanctioned murder and brutality.

The code of silence and retaliation that protects and keep depraved correction employees from being fired is dangerous and unfair, and should have been abolished long ago. It’s a slap in the face of every Floridian that some of these men have been promoted and not held accountable, along with the people responsible for hiring sadistic, evil, racist psychopaths.

Until we demand that Gov. Rick Scott stand with the people who elected him and institute meaningful reform starting at the top, in Florida's Auschwitz-Birkenau-style prisons, the bodies will continue to pile up. Thank God for decent and honest people like John Pisciotta.
