Classical music gone
How can all of South Florida, including Miami, be without a single classical music station?
I listened to the radio station that immensely enriched so many people's lives endlessly. The opera on Saturday. Live concerts. Wonderful classical music introduced by erudite commentators. As of July 17, Classical South Florida, which was in existence for more than eight years has been eliminated, sold for $21million to an entity that plays religious popular music. Sounds like a lot of money? But look at the huge sums of money pouring in to support our presidential candidates. I understand that Jeb Bush has already raised $30 million.
I have to ask one question. What does this say about the cultural life of our city? I leave it to you to answer this question. I know my own answer.
