Immigration changes

As a Cuban-American who came here in 1960, waited three years to get permanent residency and five years later became a naturalized citizen, I’m fed up with people coming here demanding we give them benefits they aren’t entitled to receive. Too many circumvent the system to get SSI, food stamps, and the rest of the “free stuff” that we taxpayers end up paying for.

I agree with Donald Trump in what he said, but not the way he said it. Illegal immigrants come from all over, not just Mexico. Give work visas to the ones who have lived here for years, have clean records and make them pay a fine for coming here illegally.

They will pay taxes and contribute to the economy. If they are convicted of a serious crime, deport them. We must secure our border and get rid of the wet/dry foot policy.
