MDX exceeds bounds

The July 17 article, Mayor: Forget refunds, lower tolls, is on target about how out of control the MDX is.

Where are the controls, the accountability, transparency and the supervision of this body? It’s like a big Mexican piñata that everyone takes a swing at while Florida residents are saddled with more tolls.

The tsunami of tolls the MDX has placed, capriciously, all over 836 is a real shame and is abusive toward road users. It really shows how little control, if any, Mayor Carlos Gimenez and the Miami-Dade Commission have on the MDX.

It’s pitiful that South Florida taxpayers have no one to defend them when the MDX is involved.

V.T. Rodriguez, Miami
