Let National Guard run state prisons
It is appalling to read about the abuses in the Florida prison system. My suggestion? Fire everyone, from the warden to the last guard, and replace them with the National Guard until this mess is resolved. We send the National Guard overseas to solve problems. Why not enlist their help in domestic issues? The prison system needs discipline without the abuse.
Come to think of it, this approach might also work for the ineffective Department of Children & Families, too.
